A highly rare White-Tailed Sea Eagle, also known as the White-Tailed Eagle, has been rescued from illegal captivity in Sindh. According to a Geo News report, the powerful bird of prey may have lost its way due to harsh weather and the ongoing regional tensions before reaching Sindh, where it was captured by hunters. Its eyes were reportedly damaged to make it suitable for hunting, while its wings were clipped to prevent it from flying. In November 2025, Haroon and his team rescued the valuable eagle from Sukkur. The White-Tailed Sea Eagle is generally found across cold regions stretching from Scandinavia to Siberia, making its presence in Pakistan extremely rare. According to the report, only 12 to 15 or even fewer authenticated records of the species were documented in Pakistan throughout the 20th century.
